BLET members have ratified a new five-year agreement with CPKC covering its Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern territory, continuing the Brotherhood’s work to deliver higher wages and a better quality of life for its members.
At the recent National Convention, BLET reported reaching 31 contract settlements since May 1, 2025, covering members on short line railroads, Class I freight carriers, and passenger railroads. The DM&E ratification adds to that record of bargaining results.
The DM&E agreement follows that trend by securing substantial pay raises for engineers, conductors and brakemen, along with increased meal allowances, greater flexibility for personal leave days and stronger work-rule protections.
General Chairman Nick Mugavero and National Vice President Randy Fannon negotiated the agreement. The detailed wage increases and other provisions were reported in BLET’s earlier coverage of the tentative agreement. Members have now voted to approve those gains.
